As THE Disney vacation expert, I know that having the perfect park bag can make or break your day in the parks. I’m sure you’ve read a million other blogs or watched dozens of TikToks from people who tell you to make sure you take sunscreen, a water bottle, and ponchos, but it’s the unexpected […]
Planning a Disney vacation is all about creating the perfect balance of adventure, comfort, and unforgettable memories. Finding the perfect timeframe is often a stress point for many of my luxury clients because they want it all: minimal crowds, comfortable weather, and exclusive access to Disney’s world-class events and attractions. Here is some insider knowledge […]
For parents of children with food allergies, planning a vacation can be stressful- especially to a place as exciting and often unpredictable as Walt Disney World. The concern isn’t just about finding safe food options, but also the fear of an unexpected reaction. As a parent who discovered my daughter’s food allergy during a Disney […]
As THE Disney vacation expert, I know that having the perfect park bag can make or break your day in the parks. I’m sure you’ve read a million other blogs or watched dozens of TikToks from people who tell you to make sure you take sunscreen, a water bottle, and ponchos, but it’s the unexpected items that can take your day from good to pure magic! Here are five essentials that you’ll want to include that no one else will tell you about. (You can thank me later!) And to make things even easier for you, I’ve linked all of these items right here in the blog so you are sure to order the correct pieces!
Florida rain showers are as common as a Princess sighting at Disney World and I don’t know a single person who likes to walk around in soggy socks. These lightweight disposable shoe covers are a lifesaver when you decide to unleash your inner child and jump in a puddle. Even if you manage to escape a rain shower during your visit, these baddies will still come in really handy when you’re gearing up for your ride on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure! Just pop them on before you enter your log and save yourself the worry of wet shoes.
We’ve all seen those adorable Loungefly Backpacks that are a massive hit in the parks but if you’re like me then you cringe at the thought of digging around for something when you need it the most. This organizer slides right into the bag and stores everything in its proper place. No more rummaging around for that lip balm that has decided to bury itself in Narnia. I will say that this exact organizer is a bit heavy but not so much that it’s a deal breaker. I promise you, it’s totally worth it!
Low batteries can ruin your magical memories but with the FuelRod portable charger, you don’t have to worry about that! This compact and lightweight charger can charge your phone, MagicBand+, camera…pretty much anything else you can think of! It comes with all of the adaptors you’ll need so it won’t matter if you have an iPhone and your buddy sports a Samsung, you’re both covered. Now I’ll be the first to admit that these are not the absolute best chargers ever made, but they can be switched out for no charge all over the Disney World and Disneyland properties for free! Universal Studios and most airports also have exchange kiosks but it will cost about $3 to get a fully charged device at those locations. It’s still better than lugging around a giant charger that adds a ton of weight to your backpack, so this is the one that I recommend.
You’re going to average 10 miles of walking on your park days and that can really take a toll on your feet, even if you’re wearing insoles. Take an extra pair in your park bag so you can trade them out throughout the day to give yourself some relief. These are my personal go to insoles because ya girl suffers from plantar fasciitis and flat feet. I tore my plantar fascia a few years ago and spent 6 months in a walking boot only to turn around and fall a few months later, breaking two bones in my left foot and re-tearing my barely healed injury. So yeah, these are a must for me!
Waiting for parades and fireworks just got a whole lot more comfortable! These foldable, lightweight, water resistant cushions each come in their own little drawstring bag and will provide you with a massive amount of relief when you need it the most. If they don’t fit into your park bag or you find yourself in need of some extra room, rent a locker a pop them in there until you need them most.
Packing the right items in your park bag is going to save you so much stress and will ensure that you’re ready for anything while enjoying the parks!
